Description

GitLab is seeking an Associate Solutions Architect to join their SMB EMEA Sales team. As a trusted advisor to GitLab prospects and customers, you will help them understand how GitLab's DevSecOps platform addresses technical requirements and business objectives across the entire software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive value and change with software development for one of the fastest-growing platforms
  • Support and enable the successful adoption of the GitLab platform by SMB EMEA customers
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing organizations to realize customer value
  • Key milestones include:
  • Successful completion of the Solutions Architect Onboarding plan within 30 days
  • Collaboration with peers to gain comprehensive knowledge of the GitLab platform, DevOps practices, and associated technologies within two months
  • Engagement with customers in a technical consultancy and advisor role during the pre-sales process within three months
  • Formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue targets through the adoption of GitLab
  • Educate SMB customers on the value proposition of GitLab
  • Guide technical evaluations via POC/POV ownership, RFP/audit support, and workshop design
  • Build relationships with people within customer environments to enable them to be GitLab advocates
  • Serve as the customer advocate to other GitLab teams
  • Continuously improve professional skills with a focus on personal mastery and team learning
  • Maintain specialty competency in one or more technologies related to GitLab's market focus

Requirements:

  • 1-2+ years of experience engaging with customers in pre-sales, consulting, or similar roles
  • Experience or eagerness to understand the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including modern DevSecOps practices and continuous integration and continuous deployment workflows
  • Practical knowledge of cloud computing concepts and related technologies
  • Ability to lead technical evaluations and contribute to tenders or audits
  • Clear technical communication and presentation skills
  • Skill in building trusted relationships and acting as a customer advocate
  • Motivation to continuously develop professionally
  • German or French language fluency
