Description
We are seeking a Twilight Manager to join our team at Asda. As a Twilight Manager, you will manage and lead a critical shift transitioning from day to night, ensuring we deliver the best availability and highest shop floor standards across all departments, whilst ensuring our store remains safe and legal for our customers and colleagues.
You will work a rolling rota and 5 shifts over 7, including weekend working between 14:00 and midnight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive strategy into action: Plan and execute trading activity on the shop floor during the twilight shift, ensuring great availability standards and key metrics and KRAs through routine and process.
- Lead with impact: Lead and coach colleagues and team leaders to deliver excellent shop floor standards, creating a culture of selling to customers with personality, serving with heart and pride, and getting one more item in every basket.
- Execution-focused: Ensure the shop floor is landed and presentable for customers before handing over to the night team.
- Talent Development: Listen with empathy, drive resilience, and encourage ownership, focus, and passion for the business by bringing the 'Asdaness' to work every day and supporting the development of the team, creating an environment where people feel valued, trusted, and motivated to step up.
Requirements:
- Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment.
- Ability to make decisions independently with a hands-on attitude and a drive to improve processes and people.
- Confidence in developing teams and managing change.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Flexibility to work a range of twilight shifts, including weekends.
