Description

Infosys Consulting is seeking talented and highly motivated consultants to join our Life Sciences practice specializing in Procurement and Supply Chain Transformation.

As a SAP Procurement & Supply Chain Transformation Consultant, you will help pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations transform procurement operating models, optimize supplier networks, and modernize Source-to-Pay processes through a combination of business consulting and digital technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Procurement Strategy and Transformation: Assess procurement operating models and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, compliance, supplier collaboration, and business value. Support procurement transformation initiatives across direct, indirect, and R&D-related spend categories. Design future-state procurement processes, governance models, and organizational capabilities. Develop business cases and transformation roadmaps aligned with client objectives.
  • Source-to-Pay Process Excellence: Analyze and optimize Source-to-Contract, Procure-to-Pay, Supplier Management, and Category Management processes. Identify opportunities to leverage automation, analytics, AI, and digital procurement capabilities. Drive working capital, supplier performance, and procurement productivity improvements.
  • SAP and Digital Procurement Transformation: Support implementation and optimization of SAP procurement solutions, including SAP S/4HANA Procurement and SAP Ariba. Translate business requirements into scalable process and technology designs. Assist clients in designing integrated procurement processes across ERP, supplier, quality, and supply chain systems.
  • Life Sciences Supplier and Compliance Management: Support initiatives involving contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs), contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs), and strategic suppliers. Collaborate with Quality and Supply Chain functions to strengthen risk management and supply continuity.
  • Thought Leadership and Enablement: Monitor trends across procurement transformation, supplier ecosystems, sustainability, AI, and supply chain resilience. Develop reusable methodologies, assets, and industry perspectives. Mentor junior team members and contribute to capability development within the Life Sciences practice.

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of procurement and supply chain processes within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated industries.
  • Experience across Source-to-Pay, Supplier Management, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, or Procurement Operations.
  • Familiarity with SAP procurement capabilities, including SAP MM, SAP S/4HANA Procurement, SAP Ariba, or related solutions.
  • Experience translating business requirements into process and technology transformation initiatives.
  • Understanding of procurement data, analytics, supplier performance management, and procurement governance.
  • Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Experience supporting business transformation and technology-enabled change programs.
  • 7+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, Information Technology, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within pharmaceutical or biotechnology procurement organizations.
  • Knowledge of direct materials procurement, external manufacturing, clinical supply procurement, or supplier quality management.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, SAP Business Network, SAP IBP, or SAP BTP.
  • Familiarity with CMO/CDMO operating models and supplier collaboration processes.
  • Experience identifying and implementing AI, GenAI, or Agentic AI use cases across Source-to-Pay and Supplier Management processes.
  • Experience assessing supplier risk, business continuity, and procurement resilience strategies.
  • Understanding of ESG and sustainable procurement practices.
  • Experience of working in global delivery environments.
  • MBA, MSc, CIPS, APICS, or equivalent professional qualifications.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
