Turbine Technician - Memphis

SpaceXAI is seeking a Turbine Technician to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot gas turbine generator packages at its power generation facility.

This is a hands-on role where you will inspect running turbine packages, support start-up and shutdown, respond to trips and alarms, restore equipment, and keep generation online.

Responsibilities:

• Operate, inspect, and maintain gas turbine generator packages and associated auxiliaries
• Support turbine start-up, loading, shutdown, cooldown, and turning-gear operations
• Perform daily inspections of turbines and package systems; identify and report issues early
• Troubleshoot and repair operational issues on turbine packages
• Adjust, repair, or replace faulty mechanical, electrical, and controls components
• Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of turbine control systems
• Write, follow, and execute MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs; support lockout/tagout, hot work, confined space, and site safety and environmental requirements
• Support scheduled turbine outages and commissioning
• Read and interpret P&IDs, OEM manuals, schematics, and drawings

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a technician or operator working on gas turbines, rotating equipment, or industrial mechanical, electrical, and/or control systems

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience operating or maintaining gas turbines in a power plant or industrial generation setting
• Experience with turbine auxiliaries and generator systems
• Experience writing and executing MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs
• Experience troubleshooting turbine equipment
• Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
• Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
• Must be willing to travel up to 25%
• Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts as needed
