Senior Software Engineer - SSC

The Senior Software Engineer will join the self-service cloud growth team, focusing on human user onboarding and agents onboarding, directly influencing Elastic Cloud's growth.

Responsibilities

• Work as a full-stack engineer on the product onboarding and trial experience, contributing to both backend and frontend.
• Design and implement new scalable features and APIs.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and designers to plan and design features.
• Implement agentic interfaces for onboarding and trial experiences.
• Work with Elastic solution teams to integrate cloud and Kibana onboarding flows seamlessly.
• Design and implement data evolution strategies to manage schema changes without introducing breaking changes.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js server frameworks like Hapi and Next.js.
• Experience with front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and async programming.
• Experience with state management libraries (like NgRx) is a bonus.
• Familiarity with Git and other code collaboration tools.
• Experience deploying and operationalizing software in production.
• Ability to plan, design, implement, and lead projects independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases, such as DynamoDB and Elasticsearch.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable in fast-paced environments.
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
