IBM Z Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an IBM Z Engineer.

The successful candidate will report to the Core Enterprise Platform Country or Technology Head and lead all aspects of the IBM Mainframe Z platform, which provides high availability products and services supporting critical business functions within HSBC.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee all technical and operational aspects of the platform.
• Ensure the availability and continuity of the bank's critical services.
• Manage components such as z/OS, TSO, SDSF, JCL, IDCAMS, and IWS.

Requirements:

• IBM Mainframe Z core knowledge: z/OS, TSO, SDSF, JCL, IDCAMS, IWS.
• IBM Mainframe Z knowledge: DFHSM, DFDSS, ICKDSF, DFSMS (inc OAM), RMM, AAM (Advanced Allocation Manager), TDMF, GDPS, CSM, Omegamon for Storage.
• Broadcom (CA): CA1, CA Vantage, CA Disk, CA Allocate, CA View, Endeavor.
• Dino Software: T-rex, Terradon.
• Proven experience as Infrastructure system programmer in a banking or financial services organization.
• Strong technical knowledge of relevant technologies and DevOps ways of working.
• Knowledge of zSeries Systems Programming concepts and technologies.
• Hands-on experience with COBOL programming with embedded SQL.
• Strong ability to balance risks and maximize cost effectiveness and profitability for the business.
