Job Overview
As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Anthropic, you will embed with strategic customers to drive AI adoption, collaborating to ship advanced AI applications solving real-world business problems.
Responsibilities
- Develop production applications with Claude models within customer systems.
- Deliver technical artifacts like MCP servers and agent skills for production workflows.
- Provide expert deployment support for Anthropic products in enterprise environments.
- Identify repeatable deployment patterns and share insights with Product and Engineering teams.
- Stay updated on LLM capabilities and AI product development stacks.
- Foster long-term customer relationships and identify new AI deployment opportunities.
- Travel frequently (25-50%) to customer sites for in-person collaboration.
- Champion Anthropic's mission in customer environments.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in technical, customer-facing roles like Forward Deployed Engineer or Software Engineer with consulting experience.
- Native French speaker with fluent English proficiency.
- Production experience with LLMs, including prompt engineering and deployment at scale.
- Strong programming skills in Python and ideally additional languages like TypeScript or Java.
- High agency and ability to navigate ambiguity in complex organisations.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder management.
- Background in financial services, healthcare/life sciences, or another enterprise vertical is advantageous.
