Description

You will engineer the future with Synopsys, the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems.

You have spent years at the intersection of engineering data and real product development, and you understand that the hardest part of digital transformation is not implementing the software, but getting organisations to actually trust and use the data.

As a Staff Engineer in Applications Engineering, you will partner with sales teams during the technical sales cycle, delivering demonstrations, proof-of-concept work, and technical presentations that show how Material Information Management solves real customer problems.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the senior technical advisor and primary contact for customers implementing materials data management platforms
  • Leading workshops and technical sessions with engineering, IT, and product development teams to map materials data workflows
  • Translating complex data governance and integration challenges into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Serving as the subject-matter expert for Material Information Management within customer engagements and internal initiatives
  • Collaborating with product management and development teams to influence roadmap priorities
  • Mentoring application engineers and contributing to internal best practices

The impact you will have includes:

  • Enabling customers to standardise and scale materials data management across global engineering organisations
  • Reducing engineering risk by improving data quality, traceability, and accessibility
  • Accelerating innovation by connecting materials data to simulation, qualification, and design workflows
  • Positioning materials information as a strategic enabler of digital engineering transformation

You will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, engineering software, technical consulting, or customer-facing technical roles
  • Strong understanding of product development processes and how engineering data flows across the lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience or deep familiarity with Material Information Management or enterprise materials data management platforms
  • Working knowledge of database systems, data modelling concepts, and API-based integrations
  • Experience with engineering data management, PLM integration, or digital engineering workflows
  • Professional proficiency in English and French/German

You will join a collaborative, cross-functional team of engineers, consultants, and product specialists dedicated to enabling digital transformation in materials data management.

Rewards and benefits include a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits.
