Special Education Teacher

As a Special Education Teacher at The Menta Education Group, you will educate a small classroom of students in a self-contained setting.

Responsibilities

• Teach all subjects in a classroom setting
• Provide a differentiated learning environment
• Collaborate with staff, including curriculum and clinical staff, to achieve positive student outcomes
• Personalize learning for students
• Provide a social-emotional learning environment
• Manage a classroom of around 10 students with paraprofessional support

Qualifications

• IL PEL (Professional Educator's License) with LBS1 Certification or Other Teacher Certification (Non-Substitute)
• Flexibility to teach multiple grade levels
• Ability to teach basic instructional areas
• Experience working with youth with emotional/behavioral/academic difficulties
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: USD 59,000-70,000 per year
