Seed Technician

As a Seed Technician, you will operate machinery and equipment for production, processing, packaging, or warehousing, ensuring safe, effective, and quality production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment in production sites, leveraging real-time data to maximize existing procedures
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections, troubleshoot problems with equipment, processes, and systems
• Support areas across the plant in driving continuous improvement practices and programs
• Provide coaching and training to seasonal workforce, area trainees, and peers
• Ensure upstream activities are handled within company standards and business requirements
• Cultivate partnerships with key business partners
• Use SAP to support administrative procedures, documenting key readings, maintenance orders, and production information
• Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to Bayer's Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control standards
• Comply with internal procedures and support compliance with legal requirements
• Participate in and prepare to lead Daily Direction Setting meetings
• Support and maintain metrics and relevant information on Visual Management boards
• Drive a company vehicle as part of your job duties

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic knowledge of IT (Internet, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 40-50 pounds regularly
• Availability to meet overtime demands

Employees can expect to be paid an hourly rate between $25.69 to $32.28. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission. Benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.
