Description
Howden is seeking a Software/QA Tester to join their team. The role involves testing insurance broking systems, including quote and buy, product launches, and AI-powered quoting.
The ideal candidate will have experience in software or QA testing, with a solid grasp of UAT process and structured test case design. They should be methodical and detail-focused, with good communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Running structured UAT on all change activities with the tech stack
- Creating test packs, testing, and reporting on issues
- Testing the Tilt quote and buy journey, new and changed product journeys, AI-powered applications, and website changes
- Logging clear, reproducible defects and tracking them through to resolution
- Working with customer experience, underwriting, trading, and delivery colleagues to understand expected behaviour
Requirements:
- Proven experience in software or QA testing
- Comfortable writing bug reports
- Methodical and detail-focused
- Good communicator
- Able to work effectively in a fully remote role
- Experience building, deploying, or using test automation
Nice to have:
- Experience testing within insurance or insurtech
- Familiarity with tracking work in Azure DevOps
- Exposure to testing AI-powered or conversational product journeys
- ISTQB certification
