Description
We are seeking a Principal Engineer - Mechanical to provide technical support to the Middle East Power & Water business, focusing on Power Generation and Desalination technologies.
The successful candidate will assist in planning and allocating team resources and tasks, provide technical support to pre-contract and project delivery teams, and perform detailed design of power and water projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support for power and desalination projects
- Conducting feasibility studies and benchmarking
- Preparing technical specifications and design drawings
- Reviewing engineering drawings and documents
- Evaluating tender submissions and preparing reports
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience as a mechanical engineer
- Experience working on power and water projects
- Knowledge of thermodynamic power plant cycle analysis
- Familiarity with desalination plants and equipment
- Excellent communication and computer skills
Preferred skills include:
- Knowledge of GT PRO and thermodynamic modeling
- Experience with IWP/IWPP contracts
- Understanding of power and desalination plant costs
