Description
We are seeking a part-time Banquet Server to join our team at The Watermark Hotel in Tysons, Virginia. You will be responsible for serving food and beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. The successful candidate will adhere to all health regulations and local liquor laws, set up and maintain banquet rooms, and ensure exceptional guest service.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality guest service, anticipating and responding to guests' needs in a friendly and timely manner.
- Serve food and beverages using proper serving techniques, listening attentively to serving directions from the banquet captain and event planner.
- Set up, maintain, and take down banquet rooms according to function specifications.
- Help control expenses by properly using banquet collateral and equipment, adhering to cost controls to reduce waste.
- Work safely, dispensing food and beverages while maintaining a clean and safe work area in accordance with regulations.
- Manage your workload effectively, planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks while adhering to attendance policies and grooming standards.
- Collaborate with others, assisting bartenders and working as a team player to meet guest needs.
Required Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- TIPS or CARE beverage service certification desired, or the ability to obtain certification.
- One or more years of previous guest service experience.
- Demonstrated exemplary customer service, attention to detail, and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to speak, understand, and write English.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Previous serving experience in a banquet environment preferred.

The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications, or other professional licenses held. Base pay is one component of B. F.
