Head, Actuarial

We are seeking a Head of Actuarial to lead our actuarial function in Ghana. As Head of Actuarial, you will be responsible for carrying out the role in line with the requirements of the NIC's Governance and Risk Management Framework.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading product development, pricing of products, and competitor pricing analysis
• Working with the Finance Team to support IFRS 17 compliance
• Leading actuarial services related to reserving, financial reporting, reinsurance, and new business / embedded value reporting
• Participating in strategy development and implementing actuarial components of the strategy
• Providing actuarial input and recommendations to management for business decision making
• Reviewing analysis of experience trends and expenses, and initiating action where necessary
• Developing and rolling out the Prophet actuarial system
• Assisting in solvency assessment and asset liability matching
• Leading, developing, and managing a team of actuarial analysts
