Product Engineering Manager

About the Role

As a Product Engineering Manager at Twitch, you will lead a team to build products, features, and experiences that enable creators to earn a living doing what they love. You will work across the stack and functions, taking high ownership of desired outcomes and finding the simplest solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers to design, build, and operate full-stack applications.
• Establish a clear vision for your team and generate urgency to deliver for customers.
• Focus on delivering results, even if it means disrupting processes or protocols.
• Articulate behaviors that grow careers and keep a people development radar active.
• Make conscious choices, overcome challenges, and constructively parse proposals.
• Adjust gracefully to change while maintaining team energy and focus.

Requirements

• Track record of leading teams to design, implement, and operate consumer-facing full-stack applications.
• 8+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years of people management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with web services, cloud infrastructure, and system design.
• Ability to attract, hire, and retain engineering talent.
• Comfortable operating in an ambiguous and ever-changing environment.
• Impact-oriented and product engineering leader mindset.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with Golang, AWS Cloud Infra, and/or React.
• Experience building Machine Learning or AI applications.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
