Description
We are seeking a qualified Associate Buyer to join our team at American Honda Motor Company in Greensboro, North Carolina. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing, cost negotiation, and subcontract administration of assigned materials and/or services from approved and qualified suppliers.
The Associate Buyer will partner with internal customers to understand business needs, ensure adherence to procurement policies, and review requisitions for accuracy and completeness. They will lead RFQ processes, analyze supplier quotations, and implement cost negotiation strategies while ensuring compliance with bid requirements and delivering value/risk insights.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing supplier communications regarding orders, changes, delivery, cost, and quality expectations
- Resolving commercial, quality, and performance issues
- Interpreting supplier agreements to ensure compliance
- Executing and managing purchase orders
- Maintaining compliant procurement documentation and audit trails
- Monitoring and expediting deliveries
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, and/or a technical field
- 0-3 years of experience in supply chain management
