Development Manager - EA SPORTS™ NHL

The EA SPORTS NHL franchise has revolutionized sports gaming for millions of players worldwide. As a Development Manager, you will report to a Development Director and oversee the project schedule and team to achieve a high standard.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a development team consisting of Software Engineers, Animators, Artists, and Designers.
• Anticipate bottlenecks, provide management escalation, project prioritization, make tradeoffs, balance needs versus technical constraints, and promote initial partner deployments.
• Focus on the immediate team, identify team issues, and suggest solutions related to execution goals.
• Ensure each project setup meets specifications with regular status reporting and capacity plan updates.
• Establish engagement processes to ensure all workflows are clearly defined, processes are documented, and staff are trained in expectations.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of Project Management Experience with production lifecycles, processes, and project planning.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Business, 3D Arts, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in a Scrum/Agile software development environment.
• Stakeholder management experience with cross-functional and/or distributed teams.
• Experience working with expansive teams, mediation, and conflict resolution.
• Demonstrated ability to use generative AI productivity tools for daily workflow optimization, early-stage ideation, rapid prototyping, with the ability to critically validate AI output and iterate effectively.
