LGV Driver - Food Waste

As an LGV Driver with Biffa, you will play a crucial role in driving waste collection vehicles, collecting and emptying bins, boxes, and bags from householders, and carrying out street cleansing activities such as sweeping and litter picking.

Requirements:

• Valid LGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Previous Class 2 driving experience
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations
• Comfortable working as part of a crew
• Able to follow health & safety and food hygiene procedures
• Good attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Willing to support the crew with food waste collections, loading and unloading
• Good customer service skills when dealing with customers and members of the public

Desirable Skills:

• Previous experience in food waste collection
• Previous experience within the waste management industry
• Experience working as part of a collection crew
• Experience using waste collection vehicles or lifting equipment
• Knowledge of food waste and commercial waste procedures
