The Manager – Performance and Reward Analytics role is part of a Group/Global Compensation specialist team responsible for key Performance and Reward activities across the HSBC network.
The role holder will be responsible for delivering reporting, analytics and insights across the full range of Performance and Reward activities, and will play a significant role in overseeing the development and successful implementation of Performance and Reward projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with global guidelines and HR policies.
In this role, you will:
- Provide strategic support for key Performance and Reward activities, including variable pay pool modelling, building and implementing fixed pay ranges, market benchmarking analysis, and annual pay review reporting and analytics for the HSBC Group, Global Businesses or Functions
- Provide strategic support in the preparation and completion of critical dashboards and reports for Group or Global Compensation specialist teams, understanding data requirements and using HSBC systems to consolidate compensation data for relevant reporting and analytics
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to prepare, analyse and present meaningful reporting that drives effective business insights and supports informed decision-making
- Communicate complex problems and data analysis to key decision-makers in a simple and articulate manner, using appropriate tools and visualisations
- Extract reports from multiple sources and convert raw data into presentable, digestible and actionable recommendations and insights
- Maintain high data integrity by working with other HR Centres of Excellence, including HR Reporting, HR Business Partners and Delivery Services, to improve data accuracy within internal systems
- Ensure the maintenance and accuracy of databases in accordance with the Group Performance and Reward architecture
- Formulate, improve and automate standard reports, and develop new reports while taking ownership of assigned work and operating independently with minimal guidance
To be successful you will:
- Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, economics or mathematics
- Have at least four to five years’ experience in data analysis and reporting, including at least one to two years’ experience in a Compensation environment
- Demonstrate very high proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Have experience in complex data analysis and analytical tools and methods; experience with statistical methods or business intelligence platforms such as Power BI or similar tools will be an advantage
- Understand business needs and objectives and translate them into effective reporting and analytical outputs
- Demonstrate the ability to create detailed spreadsheets, charts and presentations
- Possess excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, clarity of thought and expression, and a consultative approach
- Be able to perform effectively in a high-pressure, flexible and high-volume work environment, working independently and navigating complex matrix organisations
