Description
We are seeking a Salaried General Practitioner to join our team at Valentine Primary Care Network (PCN), part of Greenwich Health Ltd, a large-scale GP federation in Greenwich. As a General Practitioner, you will work autonomously and with other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat patients in a primary care setting.
Job Summary: The successful candidate will be offered between 4-8 sessions per week, based on their availability. The role involves providing expert professional advice to patients, carers, and colleagues, while maintaining clinical excellence and being professionally accountable for all elements of clinical practice.
Main Duties:
- Conducting surgeries and online consultations, telephone consultations, and queries
- Visiting patients at home
- Checking and signing/authorising repeat prescriptions
- Dealing with queries, paperwork, and correspondence in a timely fashion
- Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
- Developing care plans for patients
- Providing counselling and health education
- Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload
- Referring patients to other care providers as necessary
Responsibilities:
- Providing education and training to GP Registrars and other staff
- Working in PCN-wide schemes/services, including extended hours and potential hub working
- Travelling across the Greenwich Borough as required
Requirements:
- Capable of independent travel across the Greenwich Borough
