Staff Electrical Engineer, EW

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Electrical Engineer, EW to join our team at Anduril in Costa Mesa, California.

You will be responsible for designing embedded electronics from concept to functional prototype, including hardware selection, schematic and PCB design, board bring-up, and system-level integration. You will also troubleshoot issues that span electrical and software boundaries, working with modern SoCs and networking hardware to build Anduril platforms.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and develop embedded electronics, including hardware selection, schematic and PCB design, and system-level integration
• Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues using lab equipment and software debugging tools
• Collaborate with firmware/software engineers for processor/peripheral selection, board bring-up, and troubleshooting
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver fully functional products
• Manage multiple projects at various stages in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 8+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex hardware, embedded systems, and products
• Demonstrated experience with multi-gigabit SERDES, DDR memory busses, Ethernet MAC and PHY interfaces, FPGAs, and common communication busses
• Experience with microprocessor and microcontroller selection, configuration, and interfacing
• Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers
• Familiarity with product development processes and tools
• Knowledge of embedded software development, including use of timers, interrupts, and hardware peripherals
• Knowledge of embedded Linux development, including device trees, hardware drivers, and bootloaders
• Exceptional organization and communication skills
• Proficient with Altium Designer or equivalent electronic design tools
• Familiar with common programming languages like Python for test automation
• Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance
