Senior Software Developer

We're seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our Digital Technology team at Eurostar's London Kings Cross office. You'll work on implementing features across our cloud-native software products and services using modern JavaScript/TypeScript, hosted on AWS with Kubernetes.

As a Senior Software Developer, you'll collaborate with product owners, business analysts, scrum masters, and engineers to define solutions, share knowledge, and review code. You'll work on client-facing applications in React/Next.js, our mobile app in React Native, and design/build Node.js/GraphQL APIs.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to planning and development of systems
• Collaborate with engineers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts
• Review code and provide support to team members
• Work on client-facing applications and mobile app
• Design and build Node.js/GraphQL APIs
• Maintain and improve software quality, codebases, and tooling
• Deploy code to production regularly
• Lead projects/teams and mentor junior developers
• Identify and resolve reported issues
• Ensure customer data safety

Requirements:

• 3-5 years' experience as a mobile app developer
• Senior-level experience in modern JavaScript applications (ECMAScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React, Next.js)
• Experience designing/developing HTTP APIs in Node.js
• Understanding of DevOps/modern infrastructure practices (AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, CI)
• Experience in automated testing (unit, integration, E2E)
• Understanding of distributed systems design and cloud architectural patterns
• Experience working in autonomous agile environments
• Awareness of security best practices in software development
