Job Overview
You will join Carta's Contracts team, which processes investment-related NDAs and transactional documents at a high pace. As a Senior Paralegal – Contracts, you will work closely with Carta's US lawyers and embedded AI agents to deliver high-volume contract work.
Responsibilities
- Manage the intake and first-round markup of investment-related NDAs and related documents to ensure timely client turnaround times.
- Support Carta's US lawyers with first-round drafting and ad hoc legal work to enable them to focus on complex tasks.
- Coordinate client workflows, manage document portals, and drive contracts through to execution to provide a seamless client experience.
- Deliver high-quality contract support that reflects Carta's reputation for precision, balancing speed with attention to detail.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in transactional or corporate practice groups, or in-house commercial legal teams, with hands-on exposure to commercial contracts and investment-related NDA drafting.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in high-volume, deadline-driven environments.
- Strong grasp of relevant legal concepts and commercial pragmatism to apply them effectively.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a builder's mindset, able to take ownership and identify areas for improvement.
- Familiarity with private markets, fund structures, or investor onboarding workflows is a plus.
