Cybersecurity Software Engineer

The Autonomous Vehicles Platform team at NVIDIA is looking for a hands-on Cybersecurity Software Engineer. As part of this team, you will work on the Autonomous Driving Platform software, implementing performant and scalable solutions for data collection and autonomous vehicle fleets.

The team is responsible for developing platform and middleware features for self-driving cars, including software security features that interact with various sensors such as cameras, LIDAR, RADAR, GPS, IMU, and Vehicle CAN.

Responsibilities:

• Integrate security features into the AV driving software stack
• Develop and improve security work-products for the AV stack
• Work on security-related software code ranging from sensor abstraction layers to data processing to middleware software
• Guide other teams with security mechanism implementation
• Collaborate with hardware, platform software, product, safety, performance, algorithms, and cloud teams

Requirements:

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of professional experience working on system software
• Excellent programming skills in C++, C, and Python
• Experience in architectural security analysis techniques such as threat modeling, risk analysis, and attack trees
• Experience with automotive cybersecurity standards/regulations (e.g., ISO 21434, SAE J3061, UNECE Regulation 155)
• Solid understanding of Linux, QNX, ROS, and/or real-time operating systems
• Experience in developing user-space system software, with a willingness to delve into kernel-space and/or low-level hardware when needed
• Knowledge about embedded system programming, threading, mutex, synchronization, communication, and parallel computing
• Prior experience working in areas such as Autonomous Vehicles, Robotics, Self-Driving-Cars, CPU/GPU technology, Embedded Systems, Computer Vision

Benefits:

• Base salary range: 152,000 USD - 241,500 USD for Level 3, and 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4
