Managing Director, Technology Media & Telecommunications Banking

We are seeking a Managing Director to lead and manage the coverage of relationships across the Technology Media & Telecommunications (TMT) sector within Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB).

The successful candidate will have relevant experience and skills to contribute to the development and expansion of long-term relationships with clients in the TMT sector and their global locations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with the Head of TMT Banking to manage strategy, people, clients, and enterprise impact
• Developing and maintaining trusted advisor relationships with key decision-makers at current and target clients
• Repositioning the firm to higher value-added solicitation and enhancing the Bank's perception amongst existing and prospective clients
• Coordinating origination and execution of event-driven or major significant flow business
• Building the TMT Banking and CIB franchise value and reputation in the marketplace
• Driving revenue generation, product alignment, customer satisfaction, and cost management
• Contributing to a professional, proactive, and performance-driven culture
• Establishing and maintaining networks for cooperation with other HSBC businesses
• Aggressively growing HSBC's share of client wallet
• Managing sector/advisory teams for deals and ensuring timely and effective execution
• Supporting the implementation of major change initiatives within TMT and CIB
• Understanding and ensuring compliance with relevant internal and external rules, regulations, and procedures

The ideal candidate will have:

• A track record of building and developing relationships at Treasurer/CFO/CEO/Board Level
• Ability to develop a strategic dialogue with clients
• Industry expertise
• Proven record of leading and motivating deal teams
• Excellent knowledge of HSBC Group and products, and a strong network of contacts across all business areas
• Proven record of proactively originating and executing event-driven business
