Workers Compensation Attorney

Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced Workers Comp Attorney to join our growing Workers Compensation practice in Memphis.

The Workers Compensation Attorney will handle and support a heavy and complex case-load of cases from pre-litigation, litigation, trial prep and trial.

Responsibilities:

• Handle cases from pre-litigation to litigation
• Manage pre-suit side and assist senior attorneys once the claim files suit
• Draft and file litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and motions
• Guide clients through the case process
• Interact with expert witnesses and prepare reports and affidavits
• Attend and prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances

Qualifications:

• Law degree from a fully accredited law school
• Active member in good standing with either/both the TN and/or MS State Bar Association
• Minimum 2+ years of workers compensation experience
• Experience with wage and hour claims is a plus
• Ability to manage high volume of pre-lit and litigation cases
• Excellent client service and communication skills
• Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
• Superior writing and oral advocacy skills
