Buyer - Exterior

We are seeking an experienced Buyer - Exterior to join our team in Chennai, India.

As a Buyer - Exterior, you will be responsible for purchasing exterior commodities such as Finished Trim, Spoiler, Running Board, and Small Tonnage Plastic.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with NA sourcing Buyer and Cross Functional Team
• Supporting Purchasing/Supply Chain activities post Commercial Purchasing Agreement sign off to End of Production
• Placing PO/TO on time
• Executing Multi Year/Calendar Year claim on time as per the agreement
• Conducting cost analysis and validating the right cost for engineering changes
• Developing zero-based costing against Cost Breakdown/Tooling Cost
• Developing the right strategy and negotiating with suppliers
• Resolving commercial issues with suppliers
• Maintaining good relationships with suppliers
• Identifying cost savings opportunities for the company
• Supporting/Leading Capacity Uplift kick-off to suppliers on time
• Taking the lead for Resourcing Actions, including Request from Supplier, De-Risking, Contingent Action, or Cost Savings

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong commodity purchasing/procurement/strategic sourcing/vendor development and supply chain knowledge
• OEM experience
• 6-10 years of experience
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to work in late evening shifts (2-11:30 PM)
