Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team in Juliette, GA. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance, including maintaining and repairing power plant equipment, working on both energized and de-energized equipment, planning work, and following procedures and prints to install and maintain equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical maintenance on power plant equipment
- Work on both energized and de-energized equipment
- Plan work and follow procedures and prints to install and maintain equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment
- Assemble and disassemble components using proper rigging and lifting techniques
- Troubleshoot equipment
- Use electrical test equipment
- Communicate with plant supervision, operations personnel, and maintenance personnel
- Respond to call-outs after normal working hours
Requirements
- High school diploma desired
- 2-year technical degree in electrical field or equivalent training preferred
- Two years' experience as Journeyman Electrician or equivalent experience
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
+ Place safety first + Read and follow procedures and electrical drawings/prints + Troubleshoot electrical circuits/controls using prints + Test equipment + Self-starter with ability to work with little to no direction + Use and understand various electrical test equipment + Use powered and non-powered hand tools proficiently + Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions + Excellent communication and problem-solving skills + Plan work to maximize production
Other Requirements
- Qualifying on pre-employment tests, including aptitude test, Journeyman electrician knowledge test, Journeyman electrician performance skills test, and physical abilities test
- Ability to perform physically demanding activities while working safely in all types of weather
- Support a 24/7 schedule, including holiday and backshift work, when necessary
