S&P Dow Jones Indices is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for its indices prototyping platform. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled developer with experience in designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems that handle complex calculations and are deployed to cloud infrastructure.
The Lead Software Engineer will collaborate with a team of seasoned Software Engineers, contributing to the development of robust and scalable solutions that meet the evolving needs of institutional clients. The team values open communication and encourages the sharing of ideas and best practices.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the design, development, and deployment of applications using modern programming languages and frameworks
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Identifying and correcting bottlenecks and fixing bugs
- Maintaining code quality, organization, and automation
- Developing and implementing highly scalable and fault-tolerant applications
- Utilizing cloud services for application deployments
- Implementing containerization strategies for applications
- Developing user interfaces using modern front-end technologies
- Mentoring junior developers and providing technical guidance
- Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,000 – $150,000.
