Instructional Assistant Bachelor's Degree Level

As an Instructional Assistant with The Menta Education Group, you will provide targeted teaching and support to students in the classroom, as well as general support for all students in the school.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and social-emotional support in the classroom
• Substitute teach as needed
• Manage classroom behaviors and report concerns to staff
• Implement and maintain behavioral program policies and data
• Maintain classroom order and safety
• Supervise students in the school setting
• Assist in preventing and managing incidents of non-compliance and escalation in behavior
• Provide interventions to students to manage behaviors
• Respond quickly and tactfully in emergency situations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Human Services, Kinesiology, Health & Wellness, or a related field
• Security or Juvenile Justice background helpful
• Military Veterans encouraged to apply
• Ability to operate tactfully under stress and adapt to changing routines
• Experience working with high-risk special needs students
• Valid Driver's License and good driving record preferred
