Cleaning Operative

We are seeking a Cleaning Operative to join our team at Edinburgh Airport.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high standard of cleaning and presentation throughout the airport, ensuring all passenger, staff, and public areas are maintained in a safe, clean, and welcoming condition.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Ensure a high level of cleanliness is maintained on a daily basis within the terminal building, out buildings, and airport grounds
• Complete a range of cleaning activities including mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, emptying bins, and maintaining washrooms, toilets, offices, and external areas
• Handle hazardous materials properly and use uniform, PPE, and safety behavior actions correctly landside and airside
• Maintain professionalism in appearance and manners towards coworkers, clients, and others within the airport
• Carry out any reasonable task requested

Required skills and experience:

• Good attention to detail with the ability to work independently and use own initiative
• Reliable and responsible with a flexible approach to work
• Good communication skills and committed to quality
• Ability to quickly adapt to a busy operational environment
• Ability to work without constant supervision and follow management instructions
• Experience as a cleaner an advantage, including knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Understanding of Health and Safety regulations
• Full training will be provided
