Vice President MNC Banking

HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking is seeking a Vice President for Multinational Banking in Mumbai.

The successful candidate will lead coverage of inbound client relationships, managing an independent portfolio, driving growth in assets and liabilities, and increasing portfolio income contribution and market share.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading coverage of inbound client relationships and managing an independent portfolio
• Maximizing customer value and identifying alignment opportunities with other product groups
• Driving growth in assets and liabilities, generating quality assets, and ensuring superior returns within customers' risk appetite
• Increasing portfolio income contribution and market share through new business origination, client wallet share maximization, and cross-selling
• Deepening client engagement at working and senior stakeholder levels through intensive relationship management
• Hunting, sourcing, and onboarding new-to-bank customers while deepening relationships and cross-selling within the portfolio
• Originating, structuring, and executing transactions for clients, and overseeing the credit process from end to end
• Proactive portfolio monitoring to identify and mitigate potential credit, non-financial, and operational risks
• Establishing effective working relationships with Risk Management teams and collaborating with product partners
• Generating referrals for other Global Businesses and ensuring timely and accurate maintenance of customer information
• Taking timely and proactive corrective action to mitigate potential losses and exercising effective portfolio stewardship and control

The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in Finance, Business, or Accountancy
• Relevant experience in a front-line business development role in corporate banking
• Strong credit and business development skills
• Robust credit, analytical, and structuring capabilities
• Solid knowledge of sophisticated Capital Markets, Global Markets, Cash Management, and Trade Services products
• Strong communication skills

Familiarity with AI-enabled tools is an advantage. The successful candidate will be required to complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment.
