Description
The Complex Booker role involves managing the waiting list of Consultant Neurologists in accordance with Government Access standards and the Trust's Patient Access Policy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing the waiting list using AlexHealth and other relevant electronic booking systems
- Exercising initiative and independent judgment to book patients based on clinical needs and agreed template case mix
- Ensuring efficient and effective use of General Neurology and subspecialty Clinics
- Monitoring the Patient Target List (PTL) daily to prevent breaches of Government Access standards
- Coordinating Neurologists' clinic lists, including selecting appropriate case mix in clinical/chronological order
- Identifying, resolving, and pre-empting situations that may result in breaches of access targets
- Working with multi-disciplinary teams to maximize utilization of available lists
- Analyzing waiting list information to ensure compliance with national waiting time standards
- Flagging requirements for additional capacity to relevant Operations Managers
- Ensuring information about patients' special needs and co-morbidities is documented and communicated to relevant wards/departments
- Assisting in the training of new complex booking staff
- Working flexibly according to service needs, including cover for colleagues during leave
The salary for this role is £28,392 to £31,157 per year.
