This is a hybrid role located in Milpitas, CA, requiring 3 days in the office per week.
The Customer Validation Testing (CVT) team at Cisco develops solutions for large networks worldwide. As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will design, automate, configure, and qualify customer use cases based on IOS-XR for platforms like ASR9K, NCS5500, and 8000.
Key responsibilities:
- Craft and automate customer use cases for IOS XR platforms
- Design and develop innovative test frameworks and tools
- Drive test cases manually and through automation, track defects and fixes
- Proactively seek improvements in test coverage, execution, and automation
- Collaborate with development teams, account teams, and customers
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's in STEM with 7+ years of experience or Master's in STEM with 5+ years of experience
- 3+ years of programming experience with Python
- Networking domain experience with L2 or L3 networking protocols
- Experience in networking automation or software quality assurance
Preferred qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with GIT, Jira, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipeline tools
- Industry certification like CCIE/CCNP/Cisco DevNet
- Experience with network automation frameworks like pyATS, Pytest Ansible & Robot
- Experience with network monitoring tools like Grafana, telegraf, Elasticsearch, and InfluxDB
The starting salary range for this position is $167,700.00 to $245,200.00, reflecting the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations.
