UTR Safety Manager

We are seeking a UTR Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives in our Under the Roof (UTR) operations in Japan.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our UTR operations, including developing and implementing safety plans, conducting risk assessments, and providing guidance and supervision to ensure compliance with Amazon's safety policies.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop safety plans for emergency situations, peak periods, and unique workplace health and safety situations
• Ensure compliance with Amazon's safety policies and procedures
• Support business safety initiatives and maintain accurate records and reporting
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and develop solutions to prevent injuries
• Conduct audits and monitoring to ensure effective implementation of safety procedures
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote a safety-focused culture

Requirements:

• Experience in safety management or related field
• Knowledge of Japanese safety regulations and laws
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in distribution center or manufacturing EHS
• Knowledge of lean principles and process improvement
• English language proficiency
