Purchaser

We are seeking a Purchaser to join our team at AVL SCHRICK Performance Components GmbH in Remscheid, Germany.

As a Purchaser, you will be responsible for:

• Procuring all required services and production materials for the mechanical production of prototype components in a cost-effective, timely, and quality manner
• Conducting inquiries, evaluating offers, negotiating with suppliers, and selecting suppliers
• Collaborating with sales, production, and production planning on an order- and project-specific basis
• Managing external production and contract work
• Handling commercial processing and support for shipping, including customs clearance
• Processing incoming invoices and managing supplier complaints (8D)
• Evaluating suppliers and continuously developing the supplier base
• Coordinating supplier visits and audits

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Professional experience in purchasing technical products and services, ideally in an internationally oriented company with in-house production
• A completed vocational training as an industrial clerk
• Knowledge of international export/import regulations, including customs regulations
• Familiarity with procurement of manufacturing services and products
• Cost orientation, negotiation skills, engagement, resilience, teamwork, and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, ideally with experience in Microsoft Dynamics (Navision)
• Strong English language skills in writing and speaking
