General Maintenance - Part Time - Springhill Suites Dulles - Starting at $20/hr

Join the team at Springhill Suites Dulles! This part-time role involves providing assistance in engineering operations, including maintenance, repair of hotel property, outside grounds, hotel equipment, preventative maintenance, and asset protection.

Responsibilities:

• Learn and demonstrate the ability to maintain property assets, working with the Chief Engineer to understand preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, routine inspections, and capital expenditures.
• Assist and respond to guest requests in a friendly and positive manner, providing the highest level of service.
• Assess and evaluate property assets through preventative maintenance, recommending maintenance service solutions.
• Follow Springhill Suites' standard operating procedures, learning and executing engineering SOPs.
• Work collaboratively with all departments, contributing to meeting guest needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to Springhill Suites brand, local, state, and federal regulations.
• Produce the required volume of work by planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required; CPO and appliance repair certification is desired.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience preferred; attention to detail, customer-focused, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds regularly.
• Availability at least one day on the weekend, AM or PM.
