Description
WSP is seeking a Field Structural Engineer for rail projects at our client's office in Brooklyn, NY. As a Field Structural Engineer, you will be involved in projects with our PMCM Team, providing assistance to the Project Manager/Client Management team, and contributing to the success of our clients.
**Your Impact**
- Provide engineering support during construction, review shop drawings, and check designs and drawings.
- Offer technical guidance and direction to support staff, contractors, and vendors as needed.
- Ensure overall contract compliance through daily inspections of rail construction, prepare daily inspection reports, and monitor subcontractor and supplier usage.
- Assist with coordinating activities on the construction site, monitor workforce and performance against the work plan, complete punchlists, and track completion.
**Who You Are**
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in railroad construction, with knowledge of ballast, ties, and rail structure, bridge and facility construction methods, materials, standards, and specifications.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, ability to pass Safety Training, and working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and materials.
- Proficient in basic computer skills using Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and scheduling applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills, valid driver's license, and ability to adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Expected Salary: $90,800 - $129,800
