About the role
Anthropic's Infrastructure organisation builds and operates the compute that trains and serves frontier models. The Warehousing and Logistics team owns the flow of physical supply chain: servers, accelerators, networking equipment, spares, and tooling.
As Warehouse and Logistics Manager, you'll report to the Global Warehousing and Logistics Lead and own the operational management of all direct and third-party logistics providers of inbound receiving, storage, inventory control, kitting, and outbound shipments to data center sites and partners.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations across international locations through management of third-party logistics providers
- Own inventory accuracy and asset tracking for all infrastructure hardware, compute, MEP, spares, and consumables
- Plan and execute domestic freight and coordinate international shipments
- Manage third-party logistics providers, carriers, and freight forwarders
- Coordinate closely with data center operations, hardware engineering, procurement, and security teams
- Operate reverse logistics for returns, RMAs, and end-of-life equipment
- Build and document standard operating procedures, checklists, and controls for warehouse and shipping activities
- Maintain compliance with safety, hazardous materials, export control, and customs requirements
- Define and report on operational metrics such as receiving cycle time, inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and freight cost
- Support capacity planning for warehouse space, staffing, and equipment
Minimum qualifications
- Experience managing warehouse or logistics operations for physical goods
- Hands-on experience with a warehouse management or inventory management system
- Experience managing third-party logistics providers or carriers
- Working knowledge of domestic freight and documentation
- Familiarity with safety and regulatory requirements for shipping and storing IT or electronic equipment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to build processes from scratch and keep operations running reliably
- Ability to travel to warehouse and data center sites in the US as needed
Preferred qualifications
- Experience handling data center or enterprise IT hardware
- Experience with international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and export control requirements
- Experience with secure chain-of-custody programs, asset tagging, and data-bearing device sanitization or destruction
- Experience directly managing warehouse staff or contract labor
- Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems and how inventory data flows between them and warehouse systems
- Experience with lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methods
- Forklift certification or experience overseeing material handling equipment operations
- Experience supporting rapid infrastructure buildouts
The annual compensation range for this role is $405,000-$485,000 USD.
