Description
Capital One is seeking a Director, Data Science to lead the Consumer and Developer Experience (CDX) team's data science efforts.
The CDX team is responsible for customer digital engagement, marketing platforms, analytics, personalization engines, and risk management products.
The successful candidate will:
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver products that meet customer needs and drive business results
- Leverage a range of technologies, including Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, and Spark, to uncover insights in large datasets
- Develop machine learning models throughout the development lifecycle
- Communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders
The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, innovative, a leader, technically skilled, statistically minded, and a data expert.
Basic qualifications include:
- A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Computer Science)
- 9, 7, or 4 years of experience in data analytics, respectively
- 4 years of experience with open-source programming languages and machine learning
- 4 years of experience with relational databases
Preferred qualifications include:
- A PhD in a STEM field
- Experience with AWS, people management, and large-scale data analysis using Python, Scala, or R
The salary range for this role is $244,700 - $335,100 per year, depending on location.
