Solutions Architect, Enterprise (Presales)

Job Overview

As a Solutions Architect, Enterprise (Presales) at Stripe, you will build highly consultative relationships with C-level executives and technical decision-makers to provide business and technical thought leadership. Your goal will be to become a trusted advisor in solving mission-critical business challenges and architecting business models that drive new monetization opportunities and growth.

Responsibilities

• Be a key member of a Stripe account team, defining the customer strategy
• Identify and close new complex opportunities, accelerating solution adoption
• Drive thought leadership and be a trusted advisor for key business and technical stakeholders
• Design and apply Stripe's solutions to customer challenges, developing end-to-end customer transformation journeys and future roadmaps
• Conduct business analysis and background research on customers, industries, and competitors
• Lead strategy engagements with users to align with business priorities, design solutions, and secure technical wins
• Expand Stripe's footprint within existing accounts to new global markets and business units
• Act as the 'Voice of the Customer' to bring insights, trends, and opportunities to leadership, product, and engineering teams
• Participate in sales forecasting, Quarterly Business Reviews, and account/territory planning
• Approximately 25% travel is anticipated

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a similar customer-facing engineering role
• 5+ years of experience in pre-sales
• Experience in the payments/billing/invoicing/issuing/banking/Fintech space
• Executive engagement skills and presence
• Effective group-facilitation skills and confidence in proposing and leading customer meetings
• Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle and API architectures
• Outstanding spoken and written communication skills
• Ability to operate independently in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment
• Passion to take on ownership and drive change
• Superior verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to travel per business needs
