Head of Publishing, Shooters China

We are seeking a Head of Publishing, Shooters China to lead EA shooter franchise publishing in the Chinese market.

The successful candidate will use market information and intelligence to provide feedback and suggestions to the franchise. They will also manage publishing partners in the market to improve performance and set goals for the franchises.

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring China and global FPS game market trends, focusing on core player demands, monetization models, and competitive landscape
• Analyzing genre evolution paths of leading FPS franchises
• Deconstructing core game loops, meta systems, and player retention mechanisms of successful FPS titles
• Developing FPS-specific product evaluation frameworks and localization best practices
• Managing in-market local research, suggestions, and learning cycles to recommend adjustments to the franchise
• Leading agreements between global development and China publishing teams
• Managing localization processes, including cultural adaptation
• Integrating market data, operational metrics, and competitor intelligence
• Establishing product health monitoring systems
• Producing professional research reports and presentations
• Presenting recommendations to senior leadership

The ideal candidate will have:

• 8+ years of experience in the game industry, with proven experience in FPS game publishing in China
• Deep understanding of renowned FPS games, including gameplay mechanics, esports ecosystems, community culture, and global market performance
• Hands-on experience operating at least one well-known international IP FPS game
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Native Chinese and fluent business English
