Description
Join WSP's Property & Buildings team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, as an Intermediate Structural Engineer. You'll contribute to designing, rehabilitating, and constructing complex facilities across various sectors, including science and technology, healthcare, and education.
Your Impact:
- Deliver structural engineering solutions for building projects throughout all phases.
- Conduct structural investigations, assessments, and inspections to ensure safe and sustainable outcomes.
- Develop structural designs, calculations, and specifications that meet project objectives and code requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to execute complex building projects.
- Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and presentations to communicate engineering solutions effectively.
- Support project delivery by contributing to budgeting, scheduling, and technical coordination.
- Apply current industry standards and emerging technologies to develop future-ready structural solutions.
The Skills That Set You Apart:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Nova Scotia, or eligibility to obtain registration.
- 4 to 9 years of experience in structural design within industrial, commercial, or military environments.
- Experience with steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and related structural systems.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian building codes and structural analysis/design software such as STAAD, ETABS, or SAP2000.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating projects and engaging with clients.
- Ability to obtain a PSPC Security Clearance.

Compensation:
- Salary ranges vary by location: $85,100 – $112,800 (AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT), $77,700 – $107,000 (MB & ON), $76,900 – $102,100 (NB, NL, NS, PE & QC)
