Commercial Counsel

We are seeking a Commercial Counsel to join our Legal team at Brex. As Commercial Counsel, you will be an integral and versatile member of the Legal team, supporting all aspects of the company's commercial legal efforts.

You will handle legal review and negotiation of Brex customer contracts, working closely with sales and other revenue-supporting teams to close deals efficiently while protecting the company's interests. You will also support vendor and partner contracting, negotiating a range of contracts that serve teams and departments across Brex.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating customer agreements
• Supporting the legal review and negotiation of inbound commercial contracts
• Driving continuous improvement in commercial contracting processes
• Identifying and mitigating contractual risks
• Providing sound, business-oriented legal advice to cross-functional partners

Requirements:

• Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with taking ownership
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience practicing commercial law
• Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar membership in good standing in at least one US jurisdiction
• Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex technology and commercial contracts

The expected salary range for this role is $220,000-$270,000 USD.
