Description
As a Hardware Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that systems are tested to stringent standards, shipping high-quality products to customers.
You will think creatively to solve difficult testing problems and continuously improve automation, throughput, user interfaces, and data analytics.
Responsibilities
- Maintain ownership of test activities in production and ensure production test flow
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting efforts and resolve complex infrared systems issues
- Maintain test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream
- Generate test work instructions and train technicians
- Develop library of common failure modes with troubleshooting guide/diagrams
- Maintain and develop software for test automation, data analytics, and report generation
- Determine root cause of product failures and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering teams
- Analyze test data, document results, and provide detailed reports
- Optimize test strategies for efficiency and effectiveness
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment
- Experience with data acquisition and processing with MATLAB, Python, and other programming languages
- Experience with test automation and report generation
- Strong root cause analysis skills
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Experience working on projects that involve integration of electrical, opto-mechanical, and software/firmware systems
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
