Hardware Test Engineer

As a Hardware Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that systems are tested to stringent standards, shipping high-quality products to customers.

You will think creatively to solve difficult testing problems and continuously improve automation, throughput, user interfaces, and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ownership of test activities in production and ensure production test flow
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting efforts and resolve complex infrared systems issues
• Maintain test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream
• Generate test work instructions and train technicians
• Develop library of common failure modes with troubleshooting guide/diagrams
• Maintain and develop software for test automation, data analytics, and report generation
• Determine root cause of product failures and recommend corrective actions
• Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering teams
• Analyze test data, document results, and provide detailed reports
• Optimize test strategies for efficiency and effectiveness
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment
• Experience with data acquisition and processing with MATLAB, Python, and other programming languages
• Experience with test automation and report generation
• Strong root cause analysis skills
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Experience working on projects that involve integration of electrical, opto-mechanical, and software/firmware systems
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
