Lead AV Engineer

Gusto is seeking a Lead AV Engineer to be the design authority for audiovisual technology across its physical footprint and technical director for events. The role involves owning AV design and programming, authoring the Gusto AV standard, architecting high-profile events, leading the Zoom to Google Meet migration, managing the multi-site AV capital roadmap, administering AV SaaS offerings, acting as an escalation path for the IT Geeks Support team, and using AI to automate tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Own AV design and programming across Gusto's offices and event spaces
• Author and maintain the Gusto AV standard
• Architect and own technology and production for high-profile events
• Lead the AV workstream of the Zoom to Google Meet migration
• Own the multi-site AV capital roadmap and vendor relationships
• Administer AV SaaS offerings
• Act as the escalation path for the IT Geeks Support team
• Use AI to automate tasks
• Coach the team

Requirements:

• 8+ years of AV engineering experience
• Experience as a senior-most or design-owning AV resource for a multi-site organization
• Demonstrated technical direction of high-stakes live events
• Deep hands-on control, audio, and video systems expertise
• Meeting-space and streaming platform depth
• AI fluency as a working practice
• Capital and vendor accountability
• Strong people and communication skills
