Description
We are seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our Property & Buildings Team in Boston, MA. As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will provide high-level technical assistance and guidance for the design of electrical systems, including lighting, controls, fire alarm, and power distribution for Healthcare, Life Science, Industrial, and Commercial scale projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working within multi-discipline project teams to develop drawings and specification documents
- Coordinating design activities with other project team members
- Designing electrical power and emergency power systems
- Designing fire alarm and life safety systems
- Designing lighting and lighting control systems
- Scheduling and selecting electrical components and equipment
- Performing electrical load, short circuit, and voltage drop calculations
- Providing construction administration phase services
- Attending client and stakeholder meetings
- Interacting with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients
- Collaborating with owners, design professionals, and stakeholders on business development opportunities
- Supervising and mentoring junior engineers
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
- 7-10 years of relevant post-education experience as an engineer
- A professional engineering license (preferred)
- Proficiency with electrical engineering principles, practices, and processes
- Extensive knowledge of electrical building design
- Experience with electrical planning, design, and construction management
- Knowledge of relevant engineering and electrical construction laws, codes, and regulations

The expected salary range for this position is $118,000 - $175,230.
