Description

NVIDIA is seeking a Firmware Engineer to join the System Control Firmware team. The successful candidate will work on designing, implementing, and securing foundational software for NVIDIA's Tegra SoC architecture.

The role involves:

  • Core Firmware Development: designing, implementing, and optimizing low-level C firmware for the Boot and Power Management Processor (BPMP)
  • Active Program Support: providing technical support to active product programs
  • Global Collaboration: partnering with hardware, software, and safety architecture teams
  • Debug & Test Automation: diagnosing complex hardware/software boundary failures and writing comprehensive unit/integration tests

Requirements include:

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience in embedded firmware development, low-level C programming, and memory-mapped register access
  • Technical leadership and influence in complex projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with AI agents or LLM-assisted workflows
  • Knowledge of SoC boot flows, interrupts, linker/build systems, and device tree-based configurations
  • Familiarity with low-level SoC infrastructure and hardware interface expertise

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience with Rust language for systems programming
  • Background working under ISO 26262 functional safety standards
  • Familiarity with secure boot concepts and hardware/software boundary security
