Description
As a Customer Assistant on nights at Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd in Penrith, Cumbria, you will be the special ingredient that helps our store run brilliantly by bringing energy to our fast-paced environment, thriving as part of a team, and embracing our commitment to give our customers everything they come to Sainsbury's for, day in day out.
Responsibilities:
- Get the store ready for the day ahead by filling shelves, working at a good steady pace throughout the night, and being prepared to work with a variety of product types
- Keep your workspace tidy for other colleagues and make sure our aisles are clean, presentable, and ready for our customers the next day
- Collect and move stock safely from the warehouse to the shopfloor, including heavy equipment and containers
- Work across different parts of the store, which could include chilled and frozen areas
- Use equipment, handsets, and digital systems to complete your work accurately and safely
- Help in other areas when needed, which could include picking online orders or serving customers at checkouts once you're trained and confident
Requirements:
- Friendly and welcoming, with a genuine enthusiasm for delivering for customers
- Ready to work in a physically demanding role and able to adapt to the disruption that working overnight can have on well-being and sleep
