Supplier Quality Engineer Intern (Winter 2027)

As a Supplier Quality Engineer Intern, you will support developing the manufacturing processes and quality systems of the Astranis supply chain, design and enable quality inspections, improve manufacturing processes, and work together with long heritage and experienced suppliers as well as innovation suppliers on quality issues.

Responsibilities:

• Drive failure mode and root cause analyses, and implementation of corrective actions.
• Design quality requirements and specifications.
• Outline inspection and testing plans, and define re-processing and repair methods.
• Monitor suppliers' performance and purchased parts' status, and communicate status to management.
• Support manufacturing process development at supplier sites.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or a similar discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex problems.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Bonus skills:

• Experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with quality management systems.
• Experience with inspection methods, metrology, and instrumentation.
• Ability to read technical drawings and data sheets.

The base pay for this position is $29.00 per hour.
